Cardamom
Cardamom (Elettaria
cardamomum) is an herb commonly referred to as ‘the Queen of
Spices. Cardamom was an important medicinal plant in traditional Ayurveda, and
was often used for its carminative properties to aid digestive problems, colds,
and lung conditions. Cardamom essential oil is derived from the fruit’s seeds
and is extracted through steam distillation. The oil is a dark, honey-brown
color and is noted for its sweet, but spicy scent.

Digestive Support Cardamom
oil helps soothe and promote healthy digestion and may also help with loss of
appetite. Apply topically to your abdomen or inhale to help reduce
appetite.
Menstrual and PMS Support Apply
3 drops, with a carrier oil, topically to your abdomen to help relieve
discomfort associated with the menstrual cycle and PMS.
Sore Throat, Cough & Cold Symptoms Cardamom
is a warming oil and when applied topically to the chest can help combat cold
symptoms.
Morning Sickness Support Cardamom
oil has been shown to block the receptor pathways for nausea and can be helpful
in combating the symptoms of morning sickness during pregnancy. Combine 1 drop
of peppermint, 1 drop of
cardamom and 3 drops of lavender essential oils and apply to the back of your
neck and behind your ears.
Natural Aphrodisiac Cardamom
can stimulate and arouse the senses, while warming and relaxing your body,
making it helpful for impotence, erectile disfunction and loss of libido.
Diffuse or apply 1 drop topically with a carrier oil.
Muscle and Joint Discomfort Due
to cardamom’s antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, it can
help to relieve musculoskeletal symptoms. Apply topically to area of concern.
Fresh Breath & Oral Health Due
to its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, it has been shown to kill the
bacteria that cause bad breath. Combine 2 drops with water and use as a
mouthwash.
Promote Mental Clarity Due
to cardamom’s stimulating and invigorating properties, it can help clear your
mind and promote clarity. Apply 1 drop topically to the back of you neck.
